Mary & Eric | Park 31 San Antonio | December 29, 2019

Our first wedding in Texas went with a bang and without a hitch! It was filled with a gorgeous golden hour sunset, the best live band I’ve ever heard, and two brilliant minds in Mary & Eric.

Mary’s husband was a former groom of mine’s best man and cried at their wedding video. She mentioned how all of my videos would make her cry which is the biggest compliment I can receive.

And to think this was one of the last “normal” weddings before Covid reared its ugly head a few months later all throughout the US.

Ceremony & Reception

The long walk from the reception site to the ceremony site is where Mary walked down the path with her father before arriving to meet Eric.

Like most grooms, Eric teared seeing her beautiful entrance and you just have to see the golden hour portraits that took place shortly after! Is this the signature Texas glow?

With the sun rapidly setting, there were a few highlights of the rest of the night. But the biggest highlight of the night were the beautiful and emotional speeches and tributes to Mary’s mother who passed. She and her father truly created an amazing woman making a great difference in people’s lives along with Eric who is also in the medical field.

Check out all of their highlights in such a gorgeous venue and location in San Antonio, Texas!

Pismo Beach Destination Wedding

Irene & Barry | July 13, 2019

Irene & Barry | Pismo Beach Destination Wedding | 7.13.19

I can’t say enough good things about this destination wedding we shot in Central California this past summer.  Coming from the previous wedding’s most humid shoot ever to this was simply refreshing. It was in the 70s all day and night along Pismo Beach was absolutely amazing.

I got to meet Irene for the first time in her respective hotel rooms at the Dolphin Bay Resort & Spa. I got to meet a few of her friends and family along with her & Barry’s precious son, Henli.  Turns out Barry happens to be a fellow UC Irvine alumni and we were reminiscing about our college days with such a weird mascot as the anteater.

Ceremony & Reception

The ceremony was overlooking the pristine water on such a beautiful day as they read their beautiful vows to each other and went right into the cocktail hour on the nearby lawn. After some photos with the two, there were some introductory toasts and back onto the lawn for their first dance. I loved how the rest of the night took place on this lawn and how carefree everyone was. Such a pure and intimate celebration with LOTS of dancing, especially from Henli.

We were able to sneak Barry & Irene away into a nearby bluff for some sunset photos, after Barry changed into some comfortable and dress shorts (very cool choice!) Again, pure magic with these two as they watched the sunset and were just themselves and soaked up the night.

It had felt like a long time since we were able to cover a reception outside and it was such a plus to do so in an amazing location. It was my first wedding away from our new home in Maryland, and it acted like a nice break from all the moving and transition, even though I had been flying a lot already from West Coast to East Coast. So thankful Irene & Barry found me to capture their special union together in such a beautiful and intimate destination wedding.

Kino & Greg | 6.28.19 | Los Willows Estate Wedding San Diego, California

It was the first time for us to shoot in Fallbrook which is in San Diego County. Based upon our drone footage, Los Willows Estate looks like a hidden treasure and it truly was!

Beautiful scenery all around and we are happy that Kino & Greg trusted us to capture their beautiful day.

They were actually married one year before on the same day we captured them on June 28th, 2019. They each got ready in their respective suites on site at the venue. Shortly after the beautiful first look happened next to the ceremony site. The light peaking through the land all day was gorgeous!

Despite having been technically married for one year, this did not stop their loving affection for each other as Kino surprised Greg with her beautiful dress and veil.

Ceremony & Reception

Once the ceremony began, the groom entered with his groomsmen on a cool red motorized car. Looked like a children’s toy car but for adults. Grooms definitely need to also have special entrances along with the brides!

Kino crossed the little bridge and walked with her parents to Greg awaiting her and the ceremony officiated by their friend, commenced – a very hilarious ceremony. If I didn’t know any better, he could be a comedian which I complimented him on.

Soon after, they enjoyed a short boat ride along the man-made lake nearby and captured some of their adventure via drone. It’s not everyday your couple gets to enjoy a leisurely boat ride after their ceremony so you then take advantage and get some aerial shots!

Cocktail hour began and a fairly relaxed, yet fun reception commenced with some amazing choreography by Bella Ballroom Dance Studio for their first dance as well as the traditional toasts, cake cutting, bouquet toss, dancing, and further portrait sessions in and around the venue.

It was a beautiful sunny summer day for Kino & Greg and such a joyous time where they can have all members of their families and close friends witness and celebrate their union.

Thanks for allowing us to capture these precious moments on video and congrats again to you guys, all your animals, and future children!

Camille & Vince | 5.17.19 | Hangar 21 Fullerton California

video

Hangar 21 Fullerton California was the reception venue for Camille & Vince’s wedding day. It was such a special one, especially for my wife Susanna who grew up with Camille her whole life! Camille is in fashion and her artistic and creativity were on full display from her wedding dress to the decor.

We spent the morning reconnecting a little bit, recording their card readings to each other as well as them opening their gifts for each other. Lots of tears were shed in the morning from Camille as she opened her gift and read her card to Vince. Her walk down the aisle at St. Denis Parish in Diamond Bar, California was especially special and touching.

We then arrived at Hangar 21 and got so excited to shoot some of the establishing shots and area. There were small aircrafts taking off and landing regularly and wondered where the helicopter would be. The bridal party arrived with the bride and groom and they all started to relax and have some drinks and relax during the bridal party photos. These were particularly fun because of the mix of color and large party. Before the grand helicopter entrance occurred, we began our walk with one of the venue staff and they gave us some quick instructions on where to be during and before flight take-off. You can’t tell, but those helicopter blades swooshing around at fast speeds right over was pretty terrifying. Not going to lie. FREAKED out. But I knew we would get some cool shots, so definitely the fear didn’t stop me.

Camille & Vince definitely looked calm and collected and so cool as they walked out of the helicopter and straight into the reception patio, right before making their grand entrance as newlyweds. Their first dance and parents dances were too sweet and the rest of the evening went off without a hitch with toasts, cake, money dance, bouquet & garter, and more dancing!

We were honored to have captured our friends’ wedding and Susanna was in tears all day as well seeing one of her best friends get hitched to the love of her life, Vince! Blessings to you two!
