Kino & Greg | 6.28.19 | Los Willows Estate Wedding San Diego, California

It was the first time for us to shoot in Fallbrook which is in San Diego County. Based upon our drone footage, Los Willows Estate looks like a hidden treasure and it truly was!

Beautiful scenery all around and we are happy that Kino & Greg trusted us to capture their beautiful day.

They were actually married one year before on the same day we captured them on June 28th, 2019. They each got ready in their respective suites on site at the venue. Shortly after the beautiful first look happened next to the ceremony site. The light peaking through the land all day was gorgeous!

Despite having been technically married for one year, this did not stop their loving affection for each other as Kino surprised Greg with her beautiful dress and veil.

Ceremony & Reception

Once the ceremony began, the groom entered with his groomsmen on a cool red motorized car. Looked like a children’s toy car but for adults. Grooms definitely need to also have special entrances along with the brides!

Kino crossed the little bridge and walked with her parents to Greg awaiting her and the ceremony officiated by their friend, commenced – a very hilarious ceremony. If I didn’t know any better, he could be a comedian which I complimented him on.

Soon after, they enjoyed a short boat ride along the man-made lake nearby and captured some of their adventure via drone. It’s not everyday your couple gets to enjoy a leisurely boat ride after their ceremony so you then take advantage and get some aerial shots!

Cocktail hour began and a fairly relaxed, yet fun reception commenced with some amazing choreography by Bella Ballroom Dance Studio for their first dance as well as the traditional toasts, cake cutting, bouquet toss, dancing, and further portrait sessions in and around the venue.

It was a beautiful sunny summer day for Kino & Greg and such a joyous time where they can have all members of their families and close friends witness and celebrate their union.

Thanks for allowing us to capture these precious moments on video and congrats again to you guys, all your animals, and future children!

Camille & Vince | 5.17.19 | Hangar 21 Fullerton California

Hangar 21 Fullerton California was the reception venue for Camille & Vince’s wedding day. It was such a special one, especially for my wife Susanna who grew up with Camille her whole life! Camille is in fashion and her artistic and creativity were on full display from her wedding dress to the decor.

We spent the morning reconnecting a little bit, recording their card readings to each other as well as them opening their gifts for each other. Lots of tears were shed in the morning from Camille as she opened her gift and read her card to Vince. Her walk down the aisle at St. Denis Parish in Diamond Bar, California was especially special and touching.

We then arrived at Hangar 21 and got so excited to shoot some of the establishing shots and area. There were small aircrafts taking off and landing regularly and wondered where the helicopter would be. The bridal party arrived with the bride and groom and they all started to relax and have some drinks and relax during the bridal party photos. These were particularly fun because of the mix of color and large party. Before the grand helicopter entrance occurred, we began our walk with one of the venue staff and they gave us some quick instructions on where to be during and before flight take-off. You can’t tell, but those helicopter blades swooshing around at fast speeds right over was pretty terrifying. Not going to lie. FREAKED out. But I knew we would get some cool shots, so definitely the fear didn’t stop me.

Camille & Vince definitely looked calm and collected and so cool as they walked out of the helicopter and straight into the reception patio, right before making their grand entrance as newlyweds. Their first dance and parents dances were too sweet and the rest of the evening went off without a hitch with toasts, cake, money dance, bouquet & garter, and more dancing!

We were honored to have captured our friends’ wedding and Susanna was in tears all day as well seeing one of her best friends get hitched to the love of her life, Vince! Blessings to you two!

Hotel Casa Del Mar

Nancy & Kevin | Santa Monica, California

Nancy & Kevin | 10.12.18 | Hotel Casa Del Mar

video
play-sharp-fill

Hotel Casa Del Mar was Nancy & Kevin’s wedding venue but the day before was their tea ceremonies in both their homes in Orange County on Friday, October 12th.

It’s Chinese custom for the groom to play some games to be allowed to enter the bride’s home. After doing some challenges such as all the groomsmen having to hula-hoop together for over 3 seconds as well as eating some interesting concoctions, Kevin was allowed to see Nancy and they proceeded to the first tea ceremony in Nancy’s home.

Soon after there was a spectacular entrance into Kevin’s home as he pulled up to his house with Nancy in his vintage Porsche. As they walked up the red carpet into his home, they proceeded with his tea ceremony and ended driving off into the sunset (or more like up the hill and down, during noon-time, haha).

And now for the grand spectacle of their beautiful wedding in Santa Monica. It was forecasted to rain, but there was just enough sunshine starting right before the ceremony time!

As soon as they both got finished ready – Nancy at Hotel Casa Del Mar & Kevin at a nearby Airbnb, they decided to do a first touch and not a first look.

Having seen my own wife, Susanna for the first time coming down the aisle, I remember how precious that was, so it was great to see Kevin’s reaction of Nancy coming down the aisle for the first time.

Ceremony & Reception

After the beautiful ceremony finished and some photos being taken, the grand entrance occurred followed by their first dance. I love me some karaoke so it was fun to see some guests including actor George Chung take the mic!

They then changed back into their Chinese uniforms as they wore the day prior and watched the Lion Dancers (Immortals Lion Dance Troupe) prowl their way in. It was a first for us to see this amazing performance and exhilarating to film!

They then changed into their Cambodian outfits and heard some emotional toasts followed by the cutting of the cake. It was so great to experience this perfect wedding day between such kind people.

Kevin & Nancy work in the medical industry and their hearts reflected this as they took care of us and made sure our day went smooth as well. It also helped that Kevin has experience with being behind the lens as well! Thanks again to both of them and we’re excited for their journey ahead of them!

Ritz Paris Destination Wedding

Juliana & Paul | Ritz Paris

Juliana & Paul | Ritz Paris Destination Wedding

video
play-sharp-fill

We had the privilege to capture, in the most romantic city in the world, Juliana & Paul’s Ritz Paris Destination Wedding! We actually captured the first look at dusk at the famous Trocadero steps with the Eiffel Tower in the background.

The sunrise light was beyond words and different than any light we experienced (or at least I think, haha). But it definitely was such a beautiful light at that time.

We were so so honored to have worked with Oliver Fly Photography who was familiar with the city and took Paul & Juliana near the steps while still maintaining the Eiffel Tower in the background.

They then got ready at the Saint Petersbourg Hotel followed by some portraits in front of the Ritz as well as in the back of the reception/cocktail hour room.

The official ceremony at the Ritz then occurred, followed shortly by the reception. It was such an intimate time with family and the events from the cocktail hour, toasts, and cake were such a treat, literally.

It was such an unforgettable time in the city of lovers and we are so honored to capture these memories for them! Enjoy the film above!
